EVALUATION & CONSULTATION

Are you ready to take the steps needed to break the cycle of addiction?

EVALUATION

Many people are not sure if they or the people they care about have an alcohol or drug problem. We can provide a comprehensive evaluation to help a person decide if there is a problem. All evaluations are absolutely confidential. Following the evaluation a recommendation for further care may be made.

We find that most adults are able to make positive behavior changes when provided with good information about their life situation. This is the beginning; it may take repeated efforts to resolve the substance abuse issue.

For those adolescents with issues arising from initial substance abuse, we provide information and skills to reduce the risk of consequences from continued abuse.

CONSULTATIONS

Our certified counselors will meet with family members, friends and employers to discuss and prepare how to communicate with someone who has yet to confront their chemical dependency problem.

REFERRALS

We help identify other appropriate avenues of help and make referrals to these sources. Some people require hospital detoxification, while others go to an inpatient treatment center. We encourage involvement with Alcoholics Anonymous, Al-Anon/Alateen, and Narcotics Anonymous and other support networks. As a service to the local recovery community, we have a list of Twelve Step Program meetings in our area. Please call us for more information. We also make referrals to other professionals including therapists, counselors, and mental health and family treatment experts.

In all situations empathy, respect, and a Code of Ethics provide the basis for our services.
